Ok, so I've been a daddy now for a few months...
The truth is that I love my little man...
And I guess...
... this is kind of how God feels about us. You know, the Bible tells us that He never "sleeps nor slumbers". He is watching over me & you, while we sleep (and while we are awake). And the love that I have for Jonathan fades in comparison with the love that Jesus has for each of us. And I started to wonder if Jesus asks questions of His children, and if He did, what kind of questions would He be asking?
Are you going to talk to me today?
This was the first one I thought of, I guess because I know that He has asked this of me before. We just get so busy with work, life, family, bills, situations, and so on - we forget to speak with Jesus. Thinking more about it, if Jonathan were to stop speaking with me, even for a day, I would be heartbroken - and yet how many times have we all been guilty of just pushing our prayer time aside? The truth is that we are too busy NOT to pray! To pray or not to pray, that shouldn't even be a question!
Ummm - where are you going?
How about we try it my way?
The other day, Jonathan was trying to get from point A, to point B. The problem was that the quickest way, was under Mummy & Daddy's bed. So rather than going AROUND the bed - he decided to go UNDER it - getting stuck in the process, and needing Daddy to come to the rescue. O how often Jesus must ask us this question? His way is ALWAYS better then our way, because Jesus knows the begining from the end. He has already lived all your days, and knows what is coming. And yet we persist in trying to do things our way. And Jesus comes to the rescue. Again.
Hey - do you know you're gorgeous?
