But what does the Bible say?
First of all we need to recognize that we are our own worst enemies. And in this, Lecrae has it spot on. Many times it is NOT the devil that is leading us off the straight and narrow - it is OURSELVES. Consider:
Secondly - we need to remember this battle is not a physical one. You won't win it by being stronger, faster, or better. It's a spiritual battle - which means our weapons need to be spiritual, not physical. And look at the words highlighted below: The battleground for our heart is in our mind!
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
